S.P.L.A.S.H. Parenting Principles were concieved to offer parents practical advice on raising happy, well-adjusted children. These principles; Structure, Patience, Love, Autonomy, Spirituality, and Humor, when used in combination with one another, allow parents to create a positive family environment and enjoy their children.

Author, Dawn Lantero has combined her experience as a classroom teacher with the knowledge that comes with raising four children of her own to compile a practical handbook for parents.

Customized Coaching and Convenience

Our online and telephone coaching classes combine convenience with a personal touch. Each participant gets specific answers to their challenging questions with out having to leave their own home or office. You will also receive the benefits of being part of a larger group of committed parents who share their weekly insights and ideas based on applying S.P.L.A.S.H. parenting principles.

Our Four-Week Agenda:

Week one - Session One--Parenting Styles:
An in-depth look at the most widely accepted parenting styles and their long term effect on your children. You will discover how to recognize which style you are most likely to use, and which style your partner may exhibit. Then we will discuss the best parenting style and ways to help you achieve this for the long-term benefit of your child/children.

Week Two - Session Two--Positive Discipline:
What is it and how to achieve it? By using the techniques of positive discipline, you can help your children control themselves, grow in their self-confidence and set them on the path to future success.

Week Three - Session Three--Post-Modern Parenting:
What are the challenges facing today's parents? From scheduled activities, to computer access, to materialism, we will examine the stress and pressures of being a parent in today's' hectic society.

Week Four - Session Four--Parallel Autonomy:
Parent's need time for their own interests and activities. Children need to develop the skills of independence and self-reliance. Does your family have balance or are you over focused on your children and their desires--or over focused on your life? Practical ways to discover how to reach a balance that will benefit all members of your family unit.
